Children

One third of our congregation is either in elementary school or younger! That means we are always working hard on understanding and practicing a Biblical theology of children. And we won't lie to you - it is hard work. But it is joyful work as the Lord has given it.

If you plan to visit our church and want to know what to expect with your children on Sunday morning, you will find it on our What to Expect page.

On Sunday mornings we offer a fully staffed Nursery for children ages 0-12 months. For children age 1-5 years we offer Worship Training during the Service. Children age 6 and older are in the Worship Service with everyone else.

On Wednesday evenings we offer our School of Life and Doctrine with classes for all ages including children.

A word about Worship Training:
As parents we love our children, but we must admit that children make things difficult. They make it difficult to come to church, sit down, take a deep breath, and focus our attention. We were all made to worship, but we don't know how until someone shows us. With this in mind, we seek to train our children to worship God. Our goal is to prepare them to enter into the "big" Worship Service with their parents, better able to listen and engage with the liturgy as they grow in maturity. In Worship Training, leaders guide the children in singing, prayer, a simple liturgy and a curriculum lesson with age appropriate activities. This is a time of engagement with leaders to help our young ones focus on their purpose which is to worship their Creator, Redeemer and King.
