Pastor Rich Lambert: Rich Lambert was born in Great Falls, MT in 1969. He grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan in the tiny town of Ludington. He went to Wheaton College and graduated in 1992. Tired of snow, he went to Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL and graduated with an M.Div. in 1997. Rich’s first call was to Reformed University Fellowship at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC (still avoiding the snow). In 2002, Rich accepted a call from Park Cities Presbyterian Church to begin planting a daughter congregation in East Dallas and has been at New St. Peter’s since (still snowless).
Rich is married to Jennifer, who is way out of his league, and they have two daughters Reilly Jane and Madigan, both of whom enjoy playing endless pranks and jokes on their dad.
Rich is known for accumulating and discarding short lived hobbies: skateboarding (crashed in July 2005), knitting (failed attempt at a scarf, Fall of 2006), cooking (who has time for that? Let’s just order out…), various musical instruments (too much discipline required). He is scheduled to take up knife throwing and Polynesian torch dancing in 2008. Both are sure to end badly.
Pastor Colin Peters: Colin Peters was born in Dallas, TX in 1968. As the youngest of four children he didn’t say much at the family dinner table until his sisters left for college. After graduating from Vanderbilt University in 1991 he worked as a Mechanical Engineer in Houston for a few years. Longing for snow, he moved to St. Louis, MO where he completed an M.Div. in 1999 at Covenant Theological Seminary. Before coming to New St. Peters in 2007 he served as Campus Minister with Reformed University Fellowship at Mercer University in Macon, GA.
Colin is married to Mary, who tempers his Texas pride with her North Carolina gentility. They have two sons, Carson and William, and one daughter, Ansley. Once again, Colin does not get to say much at the family dinner table.
Colin inherited a love of wood-working from his father. A grandfather clock was scheduled for completion in 2001…it should be done soon. He aspires to ride his bike the entire length of the White Rock Creek trail, and when his kids grow up they will ride together from San Francisco to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Office Administrator Jan James: Jan was born in Palestine , Texas and grew up in Tyler . After graduating from TCU with a degree in History, Jan moved to Dallas where she has worked in various administrative roles before joining the staff at NsP in December 2003. Having grown up Baptist, Jan was moved by the Lord to a deeper understanding of the reformed faith and has been a Presbyterian for 13 years. Jan loves spending time with her two kitties, Jackson and Samantha, and with family and friends.
Pastor and Missionary R. Elliott Greene: Elliott was born in Houston, Texas. He is a pastor of 27 years and has taught Biblical languages and exegesis for 15 years. He joined the New St. Peter’s staff in October of 2005, after spending the previous 7 years on the pastoral staff of Park Cities Presbyterian. He is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Biblical Languages at Westminster Theological Seminary. In addition to his teaching duties, Elliott enjoys discipling students. He is also the founder and principal of the Tyrannus Hall Foundation for Pastoral Development. As principal of Tyrannus Hall, Elliott has a heart and calling to disciple minority pastors who will have a passion for the glory of God, strong Christian character, the growth of God’s people in Christ, and who will be skilled teachers of the Word of God and doctrinally Reformed. Tyrannus Hall is prayerfully supported and encouraged by the Session and congregation of New St. Peter’s.
Elliott’s immediate family includes Ophelia his wife and three sons: Richard II (24), Randall (21) and Ryan (14). Ophelia spent several years as a corporate accountant before leaving that arena to serve as Business Administrator for Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (Dallas, TX), and subsequently as the Comptroller at Park Cities Presbyterian Church. Ophelia now uses her many gifts in assisting Elliott and home schooling Ryan. Richard is a graduate student at Ohio State University studying Sports Management with hopes of pursuing law school, aspires to a vocation in ministry. Ryan, who is home schooled, is an accomplished pianist and enjoys writing stories and is a NASCAR enthusiast.
Elliott enjoys reading, talking theology and sports with his older sons, and watching NASCAR with his youngest son Ryan. He and Ryan have an annual Father/Son day in November at Texas Motor Speedway for the Dickies 500. (NASCAR is having an interesting effect on Elliott in as much as his ministerial robe is now covered with logos from Christian publishers.) Elliott also enjoys playing scrabble with wife Ophelia and eating her delicious meals, while shamelessly blaming her for his weight gain. His diet has not yet been redeemed.
Ministry Coordinator Mackenzie Skaer: Mackenzie hails from Denver, CO. As a student at Texas Christian university she was involved in the ministry of Reformed University Fellowship, and for the past two years she has served as an RUF Intern at Virginia Tech University. Mackenzie has a range of responsibilities both in ministry and administration at New St. Peter's.
Pastoral Intern Aaron Morris: Aaron was born in Dallas in 1978 and grew up in Lakewood. His parents raised him in a Christian home and a local Baptist Church to which they still belong. He attended Baylor University in Waco and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelors degree in Recreation and Leisure Services (no kidding, we promise). This course of "study" appropriately afforded him plenty of time for his own leisure but lured him into a false sense of scholastic security before he headed to Dallas Theological Seminary in 2002. During his time at Baylor, the Lord moved Aaron to begin reforming his doctrine, a transition, which accelerated and continued through his years in seminary. While at DTS, he developed a deep appreciation and love for serious theological study, graduating in May 2007 with his ThM and a concentration in New Testament Studies.
As a testimony to God's grace, Kara married Aaron during their senior year at Baylor, even after dating him since high school. Their son, Walker, has enjoyed loving and terrorizing their two labs, Abraham & Belle, but will soon have a little sister to harass… He's very excited.
Aaron and Kara joined New St. Peter's approximately 27 hours before Walker was born in October 2005. They get away to Colorado every chance they have and enjoy the idea of hiking, biking, and snowboarding. Generally, these activities serve as filler between time spent soaking in a hot tub and basking in yet another confirmation that they are getting older.
